Addons and Oracle
To add a component to Oracle, you must first unpack the package (ocpinstall -x) so the schema files are available on disk. Then the DBA must create the tables needed before importing seed data (ocpinstall -s) from the package.
The ocpinstall –s script still uses the com.dorado.jdbc.database_name.oracle parameter even when using RAC and the com.dorado.oracle.rac.connect.url is set. If you only have entries in your tnsnames.ora file for the RAC connection information ocpinstall –s fails. Best practice is to keep both parameters set, have valid connection information within tnsnames.ora for all individual nodes in the cluster as well as the cluster itself.
