Runtime Requirements

This application runs as a thin client. It gets services from an application server, which must be up and running before any clients start. If the application interacts with any managed objects and/or network devices, one or more Mediation Agents must be running. These agents require configuration information before they run. Consult the Application Runtime: Oware Section section for more about setting up mediation agents.

You can launch the application server from a command line (startappserver) or from Start > Run startappserver, in Windows. Although you do not need to launch it separately, you can launch mediation server (startmedserver) similarly.

Installing a device driver handles most mediation agent setup for single server systems.

After starting application and mediation server, you can start the client.
